I suppose introductions are in order, however through this medium unfortunately it is not the regular form of introduction where two or more people explain who they are to one another in as few setences as possible, but this is merely a monologue about oneself.

So the funny thing about explaining who you are is that most people think that most people think their identity first and foremost is their name. On the internet names (at least real ones) are startingly hard to come across. Mine happens to be Eric. What I find is that names are surprisingly poor when it comes to identifying someone. They are after all not unique. So when you ask "Which sally do you mean" the response is usually that persons name with a descriptor. Like "the crazy sally".

So I am usually referred to as the Gay Eric.

I'd go on from here, but I fear my rant will extend too long.
